Yesterday was our 3rd Anniversary! We just loved every minute of our wedding day. It was a really fun day. And the last three years have topped it!
We had a Chinese tea ceremony first, and then the 'western' ceremony.

We had all of our professional pictures (some below) done at Chinook Mall, the largest mall in Calgary, complete with a merry-go-round that we got exclusive use of for some photos! Our photographer had some inside connections apparently. We kind of weren't into the 'pretend it's summer' look by going to indoor gardens... it was -30* and there was no hiding it! Check out our Wedding Website for more photos (including our engagement through to honeymoon!).

Last weekend we went to Banff for an anniversary celebration to one of our favourite little restaurants there (Barpa Bills) then for mochas and some people watching at the "Wild Flour Artisan Cafe." Couldn't quite miss the opportunity for a little celebrating yesterday too, so we went down to the Avocado (best sweet potato fries in the west! and I had the Baja Salad, a little memory of our honeymoon!) and then wandered around Ikea for a bit. I got an 'unofficial' anniversary gift: a down-filled pillow! ahhhh... I've had my eye out for one for the last year or so. Love it!
To conclude, let me share a couple of words of wisdom that our Pastor shared as part of the wedding ceremony message; they have really stuck with us: "The golden relationship question is... and ask yourself and each other this often: 'What's it like, to be married to me?'"

How fun! Thanks for sharing those pics. It's our 11th this May. We're going to Spain to celebrate (originally our 10th anniversary trip, but postponed because of Laura's mom's illness). Hopefully I'll have pics from that...if we ever get a digital.
dunn, you gotta be kiddin, you don't have a digital camera? dude... you NEED one before you go to Spain! Where are you going? I've only been to Barcelona. It was great.
3 years already!! Happy Anniversary!
Your wedding photo's are awesome! It looks like you guys truly did have an awesome day.
I love the question, I will have to ask myself...
Our Spain trip...start in Madrid, go around that area (like Toledo), then up north into Basque country (we'll try to avoid the terrorists). Most people go south, but that makes it more touristy. And Laura has a friend in northern Spain who we want to visit.
You'll be the first to know when I get a digital camera.
And congrats again on your anniversary!
Merry Anniversary! I love my marriage and I love to hear other people's excitement for theirs... blessings on you!
Happy Anniversary! 3 years already, huh!? So good!
Thanks for the pics...they're great...and you guys looked great...beautiful!
"Look*ed*" great? Stacey, c'mon now... what's with the past tense? ;o) Seriously though, what we thought was great about that same part of the sermon, was that our pastor included the 'not-yet-marrieds' (wink wink nudge nudge) in his address, by encouraging them to ask themselves, "what's it like to be my friend? what's it like to be my co-worker/boss/parent... etc..." Being a 'bit on the older side of average Christian couples' when we got married (27 & 31), we had an appreciation for inclusion of singles! Anyway, just wanted to share :)
